Like all insurance, it is a question of determining how much coverage is "enough" or that one feels comfortable with. As I shopped on a couple of other sites, I did not always find it easy to compare policies. I specifically wanted to make sure there was coverage in the event of unplanned delays such as a bomb threat at an airport. I also wanted insurers that had some kind of proven financial securities. I found that the companies represented were solid financial insurers. It was easy to compare coverage between companies and policies. It was easy to specify the coverages. While it proved unnecessary for us to file a claim, I would recommend Insuremytrip and intend to use them again in the future as the need arises.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
I love InsureMyTrip as it permits comparison of all components of travel insurance plans in one place. CSA often offers higher levels of coverage for similar or lower price than other companies, so I often choose CSA for my travel insurance. Although I did not need to file a claim for this most recent trip (thank goodness!), I have had to file a claim with CSA in the past, about 2.5 years ago. The claim process was seamless and my claim (trip cancellation) was covered without any hassles. Consequently, I do not hesitate to use CSA for my travel insurance needs.

If you are considering this company, make sure you fully understand their definition of 'pre-existing conditions'. This company has a 180 look-back history. I didn't know what that meant until I had to file a claim and was denied. Here's what look-back means: any condition evaluated or treated 180 days PRIOR to purchase. "Underlying conditions" is also part of this definition. I lost a lot of $$$ not fully understanding the definitions. Next time I have to buy travel insurance, I will DEFINITELY go to great lengths to understand every aspect of the policy.

Did not have to use the insurance (thank goodness) so don't know how effective it would have been. I would use your insurance again for another trip because it seemed reasonable and comprehensive. I don't think your star rating system is quite an accurate way to rate in my circumstances.

A quick easy and efficient way to insure your trip and while the bulk of everything is completed on line we needed to contact a Customer Service Representative regarding a few items and that process was quick and efficient as well.

We had the unfortunate experience of a travel delay due to an air traffic controller's strike. CSA covered ALL expenses associated with the delay including the missed portion of the tour. We will definitely buy trip insurance again from CSA!

When France went on their 90 day state of emergency, I called your office. I could not get sufficient information on how coverage would be affected under these circumstances and when. I did not want to cancel. I was just looking for information about my coverage.
