I bought the policy based on fair pricing and good coverage. I put down a deposit on my trip with Crystal Cruises, who then went bankrupt. I filed a claim for the deposit under the travel policy along with the requested documentation, and the claim was paid with zero hassle. I then changed to another cruise line and the remainder of the trip went perfectly with no further issues. I'm very pleased with Generali.

I feel very to have bought the insurance as a woman on our recent trip fell down and had a slight fracture of her leg and a large hematoma on her head. She still went along on the trip but could not really take part in most of the activities.

Bought this service but didn't have to use it. Felt it was good to have some kind of insurance for a transatlantic cruise that involved both cruising on a ship and air travel. Seemed to be a few dollars less expensive than what the cruise line offered and perhaps covered a little more. Will never know how good the service could have been if they were actually needed.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Mediterranean cruise only two weeks before our departure date because my wife had a medical injury. General Global Assistance did require verification of her injury and full details of trip purchases, payments, and refunds -- only to be expected when such a large dollar claim is filed. However, upon audit and verification of the submitted details, GSA promptly approved and paid the claim in full. We could not be more pleased with GSA's handling of this claim, and we'll return to GSA for future trip coverage.

Hoping to never use it but happy to know I am covered if I do. My credit card automatically covers trip cancellation, etc. but not the medical aspect and at any age one would hate to be blind sided by a medical emergency out of the country.
