I was not able to receive a Visa for Brazil in time for my cruise. Therefore, I had to fly to Buenos Aires which caused me to miss several days on the cruise. I had to pay for a new airfare and pay $744.00 for an air cancellation fee. (**first flight) After calling about my trip insurance coverage none of it was covered. Wow, very disappointing!

Thank you for your comments. As you discovered, there is no coverage for Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption or Travel Delay if you do not receive your Visa in time for your trip which is why there was no reimbursement for your increased costs. In the future, you can read through the covered reasons to cancel or interrupt your trip in any plan on our website by first comparing your quotes then clicking on the dollar amount of Trip Cancellation coverage. You with then receive a pop-up window with a list of all the covered reasons. Please note that these are not the same in all plans so you may wish to call us at 800-487-4722 for assistance.Jan 24,2016

The cruise to Brazil was cancelled due to a fire on the ship prior to our departure. We did not loose any money from the cruise company and CSA refunded our premium after we filed for an exemption. Thank you CSA.

Plan had better coverage at better cost vs others, so bought it. All plans seemed pricey at 10% or so of trip cost. Probably not regulated market.

My wife had to use the ship medical services and CSA covered all the expenses that were not paid for by our private health insurance plan. No hassle and a check covering the difference came back within two weeks of sending in the bills.

I have used CSA Travel Protection at least 4 times. The first time, I had a major accident. They handled the difficult logistics even better than I had hoped. Then they reimbursed all my claims. Only one small claim since then, also handled well. I am very satisfied.
