The GeoBlue Voyager Essential is a single-trip medical plan which offers emergency medical coverage while you are traveling abroad. This plan does not require you to have primary health insurance in place. Medical coverage on this plan includes an exclusion for pre-existing conditions, but there is still coverage for emergency medical evacuation whether it is due to a known condition or not. With this plan, you have the ability to select the medical limit, and also the deductible amount that you are most comfortable with.

My father died from injuries received while traveling overseas. The medical bills and air ambulance costs nearly cost my mother her house. Since that trip I have used www.insuremytrip.com exclusively for overseas coverage. I wish I could tell you about the claims process but I thankfully have never had to use the coverage. I will say the biggest problem was that my fathers coverage was just way too little. For the cost you cannot go wrong with extra coverage. Don't assume you'll never have to use it.
