Although I did not have to activate the Global Alert! Preferred plan I purchased prior to my trip to Europe, it was nice to know I had this coverage just in case anything should happen during the trip. I had never purchased travel insurance before, but I will be purchasing travel insurance on all future trips just for the peace of mind it brings while traveling.

Would have preferred a more custom-tailored plan in which I could choose which coverage items I needed, rather than having to pick a more expensive comprehensive one. I did not file a claim or contact the insurance company, so cannot comment on the service.

We did not use the insurance this time (thankfully) but it was literally the difference between life and death for my son 6 yrs ago. He received a critical transport home from Italy with multiple broken bones on a ventilator. This company was there for us and for $25 we got $150,000 in medical care - and a son.
