The best insuarance is the type one never needs to claim. That said, it was comforting to know that if the unexpected happened . I will use insuremytrip again for future travel insurance.

The peace of mind this insurance policy provided can't be simply expressed. Thankfully we haven't ever needed the insurance but given pre-existing health issues, we'd rather be safe than sorry. Insure My Trip is easy to navigate and the professionals there really help you find the BEST policy for your circumstances. Far more inexpensively than dealing with the cruise lines or travel folks just trying to make a buck....

We were going to Paris and London and due to the Westminster Bridge attack and the elevation of the terror level to the highest its been in years I was concerned. My trip was only days away.I called about whether I could change my plans and go somewhere else other then England. I had a non refundable hotel booked there. My plan included "cancel for any reason" but I didn't want to cancel my trip, just change it so I could travel somewhere that didn't just experience 2 terror attacks in 2 months. When I called the women I spoke to basically said there was nothing I could do except cancel everything and forfeit 25% of what the trip cost.
One of the reasons I took out this policy was because of the random terror attacks going on and I wanted to be covered in case something happened. But in my case it was worthless.

This is a perfect plan for medical coverage when traveling internationally. We had trip interruption and cancellation insurance with our COSTCO Citibank Visa card, but it did not cover medical insurance for our 3 week trip to Italy. The Preferred Plus Plan was affordable, and the coverage gave us a peace of mind. There is no doubt that I will use Insure My Trip in future travels.

It was comforting to know I could cancel if need be and not lose everything I'd paid out. With a 92 year old mother and myself almost 70, the coverage was peace of mind.

I did not have to use the coverage purchased, so I really cannot say whether or not I chose a plan that I was satisfied with or one that provided reasonable coverage. I chose a plan in case I encountered a situation that would provide sufficient coverage. I did not have to file a claim of any kind, so I cannot really speak to how the company would handle a claim.... For me, it was important to purchase coverage in case of an emergency.
