The IMT Services Travel Accident Plan offers Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage while you are traveling. You can choose beneficiaries that will receive the benefits of this plan in the event that the worst were to happen and choose from several coverage limits, ranging from $100,000 to $1,000,000. There are other benefits included as well such as Political and Natural Disaster Evacuation benefit and 24/7 assistance.

A trip begins when you leave your home. I was very disappointed to learn I was not covered during all phases of the trip, including all air travel whether in my home country or not. I would not purchase again unless commercial transportation inside my home country, USA, was included.

Don't understand if you do activities, such as water sports, hiking, four wheeler why the insurance doesn't cover for accident!!!

This policy was designed to cover Accidental Death and Dismemberment in the event of an accident during your trip. The policy does not cover the actual expenses incurred while you are being treated at a hospital or licensed medical facility, but the policy does offer additional add-ons for Medical Evacuation coverage. The policy would also cover many activities, such as hiking or some water sports, but would also exclude the following:
"Travel in or upon: A snowmobile; A water jet ski; Any two or three-wheeled motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle registered for on-road travel; Any off-road motorized vehicle not requiring licensing as a motor vehicle; when used for recreation or competition. Unless Hazardous Activity Rider is purchased."
"Injury sustained while taking part in: mountaineering; hang gliding; parachuting; bungee jumping; racing by horse, motor vehicle or motorcycle; snowmobiling; motorcycle/motor scooter riding; scuba diving, involving underwater breathing apparatus; water skiing; snow skiing; spelunking; parasailing; white water rafting; surfing, unless part of a school credit course; and snowboarding. Unless Hazardous Activity Rider is purchased."

I purchased this plan for my kids when they want to Mexico and thankfully I did not have to use so I am completely satisfied. I don't think sending a review on this type of plan is appropriate.

I say this every time I get a survey from you guys -- I'm buying a product I hope never to use, a product whose efficacy can only be determined when it is used, in which case I would not be around to fill out surveys. Instead of asking me about the plan, why not ask me about the service, which I think is great!

Coverage will end at 11:59 P.M. Eastern Standard Time on the earliest of the following: 1) The date Plan Participant is no longer in an Eligible Class; or 2) The date the Plan Participant returns to his or her Home Country unless otherwise covered under the Plan Document; or; 3) The expiration of 365 days from the Effective Date of Coverage; or 4) The date shown on the Schedule of Insurance issued by the Company."
