I didn't need to use the InsureAssist TravCan Premier insurance but on a trip to India I was glad I had it. Price and coverage were better than the insurance offered by the tour company. I also liked the fact that most of this insurance is primary pay and not secondary (if I ever did have to file a claim).

Since I didn't need to file a claim, I really don't know what would have been covered and what would not have been covered under the InsureAssist TravCan plan. Keep in mind that the lower priced insurance may not cover all of the travel costs you may have paid like visa costs if your travel provider cancels your trip.

I particularly liked the customer service representative...who cut right to the chase in terms of learning the salient facts of my life and then recommending the best policy for the money and circumstances. No waste of time...no up selling.....just good advice.

The peace of mind is worth it to us. We make long (over 2 weeks) trips overseas. We don't want to have to freak out if something goes wrong health wise, or logistically that impacts our lives while traveling.

Information provided was very clear and cost reasonable for coverage provided. I purchased the insurance expecting not to need it and was was basically correct. The inconveniences experienced (missed connections that were the fault of the airlines) were almost completely covered by the airlines and not worth filing a claim for the balance. No need to file a claim is a very good thing!

Much more reasonable than other plans we looked at and quite a range of things were covered. So we left with complete peace of mind. It is backed by a renowned insurance company, which also made us more comfortable. I don't like having to buy insurance, because, knock on wood, we've never had to use it and have spent literally thousands of dollars on it. But the one time we leave home without it, I know we'll regret it. So, I highly recommend this particular insurance - good value for your money!
