Checks and EOB did not arrive promply. Checks were not received 28 days after claim submission, Travel Team was notified and they traced the checks/EOB immediately and Checks/EOB were reissued and sent to claimant. Claim submitted 1/26/16 and Checks/EOB received by claimant 3/7/16.

I bought a Comprehensive Plan. However, it does not cover changed itineraries. Nor does it cover disappointed associated with the changed ports.

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry to learn that you are disappointed with the policy. It is true that this particular plan does not have Itinerary Change and Port of Call in the schedule of benefits.

    For future reference, InsureMyTrip does offer plans that contain Itinerary Change coverage, and we also have cruise specific products underwritten Nationwide which offer Itinerary Change - Port of Call, Itinerary Change - Inconvenience, and Itinerary Change - Pre-Paid Excursion benefits. We realize that this does not help you with the previous occurrence, but we do encourage you to call us at 800-487-4722 if you are looking for cruise insurance in the future.

We did not have to use it but it was a comfort for several reasons. First, whether it was us or my elderly parents, we would be reimbursed if we had to cancel. Second, my Obamacare is useless and unusable with a screaming high deductible and I was carefree knowing I would have medical insurance for the month long trip.

While we did not use the coverage, there was a level of comfort in knowing we had coverage. The cost was significantly less than what was offered by the Cruise line or the Travel Agent but it covered the items we needed.

With your policy of not returning funds for a trip that was cancelled months in advance (even before payment was due on the cruise ship) is just a complete rip off.
ESPECIALLY for repeat customers. Be assured you have lost our business and anyone we used to refer to you in the future. The worst customer service I have ever received. I don't even know how you are still in business but I can assure you that from me alone over a lifetime of cruising that you are losing $1,000's of dollars. Now add in our friends and referrals? We all be cruising the Mediterranean this summer and will happily NOT be using YOU. I would say yes to the box below on contacting me but you ignored my request for months to call me back about this issue so I know it is a joke. You don't even have customer service!

    The following excerpt has been taken from the InsureAssist TravCan policy certificate:

    "All premium is non-refundable after a 10 day review period."

    After reviewing your request to cancel the policy for a refund of premium, the Underwriter stood by the terms and conditions of the policy.

This was a claim that was a little over $10,000 because I broke my ankle ten days before our French Polynesia cruise. I mailed the claim form with the documentation on 1/27/16 and had the claim payment checks in hand on 2/11/16 (one for me and one for my wife). They even paid our half of the private transfers (airport-port-airport) that we had scheduled with another couple that we could not cancel (because the other couple still needed the transfers). EXCELLENT SERVICE!
