The TravCan Premier plan is the higher-end comprehensive trip cost protection plan from InsureAssist as it offers greater coverage limits and more options than the TravCan plan. If you are concerned about any pre-existing medical conditions that might affect your travel, this plan will waive the pre-existing conditions exclusion if purchased within 21 days of the initial trip payment and if the full cost of the trip is insured.

My only issue with the plan was that lost baggage coverage is secondary. I had the option of buying a more expensive plan with all coverage primary. It was my choice save money to go with secondary lost baggage. In the future, I think I'll stick with all primary coverage to greatly reduce the paperwork should I make a claim. Luckily, I've never needed to make a claim on any travel insurance I've ever purchased.

I had never purchased travel insurance before, but did this time because others in the group mentioned they do & went through this site. I couldn't make sense out if the plans offered, exclusions etc, so I called & spoke directly with a knowledgeable rep. I told her what I needed & felt confident I made the right decision in purchasing the plan I did. I had to cancel my trip due to a family members medical condition, & was really bummed. I submitted the claim & it was a big hassle going back & forth sending more paperwork for a couple weeks as proof. In the end I'm happy though, because they finally paid the full amount I had insured (I mistakenly under-insured a little). I am SO glad I purchased travel insurance & will definitely be getting it again "just in case".
