If you are concerned about any pre-existing medical conditions that might affect your travel, this plan will waive the pre-existing conditions exclusion if purchased within 21 days of the initial trip payment and if the full cost of the trip is insured.

I purchased trip insurance from InsureMyTrip for a recent trip. While traveling I needed medical attention. I called InsureAssist. and spoke with a very friendly representative. She emailed me a claim form immediately and said I would hear from them in about 10 to 12 days. On the 7th day I received a check for the full amount of my claim. Based on this experience, I would highly recommend them.

Happily, did not have to make a claim, so I do not truly know how "good" the plan is. The price for the coverage was less than others I have seen. The representative was knowledgeable and friendly, and the online application process was easy.

We have used this site for every international trip that we've planned for the past 10 years. Love it! So easy to use and confidence that we have good coverage. Recommend it to our traveling buddies and one actually had a very sad and unexpected event that pressed the insurance into duty.

Knowing that we had coverage gave us a worry free trip. Our trip was a fourteen day cruise from San Diego, through the Panama Canal, then to Fort Lauderdale. During this time we had four people taken off the ship by ambulance (while in port of course). One even had the ship doctor go with them to the hospital. Knowing that this type of emergency would be covered gave us great peace of mind.

Six days into the cruise I contracted Bronchitis and required several visits to the ship's doctor. This resulted in $2700 in medical expenses. The cruise line provided me with the necessary forms and I filed a claim upon returning home. My claim was processed and full reimbursement made. Glad we had the insurance.
