The TripMed plan from InsureAssist offers medical coverage for single trips that are taken outside of your home country. With this plan, you can choose the Medical limit and also the deductible amount that you are most comfortable with and that best fits your budget. There is an additional option for hazardous activities coverage which provides coverage for activities such as sky diving, bungee cord jumping and scuba diving.

Totally awesome plan. Reasonably priced and covered the essential concerns of travel insurance. Provided worry-free atmosphere so that I could enjoy the trip. Personal touches were added with the reminder e-mails and customer support provided prior to and after the trip. I have already recommended this travel plan to two other travelers I know.

I am glad that I did not have to use the insurance. I just wanted to have medical coverage while out of the USA because medicare does not cover foreign costs.

Although I had no need to file a claim, and my trip was incident free, I'm glad I had purchased insurance. The policy I chose was a reasonable cost and had more than adequate medical and evacuation coverage. I will use this company in the future.

Since there were no incidents that triggered use of the plan, I cannot comment on its effectiveness. However, I purchased this plan based on recommendations by experienced travelers, but found that even after contacting InsureMyTrip I still did not understand what was actually covered.
