We did not have to use it. But, we had peace of mind. Very affordable. I will buy again for any international travel.

Easy to obtain and peace of mind in case of a medical emergency. Most people don't realize if you are in Medicare and need/obtain medical services out of the U.S., MMEDICARE WILL NOT COVER YOUR EXPENSES.

Please note that Basic Medicare does not provide coverage outside the United States. However, many of the supplemental plans do offer varying amounts of reimbursement. You should always check with your supplemental plan provider to see if coverage is available to you.

When the group of friends planned this trip and I mentioned that I should get trip insurance, I was told it would probably cost $200 or more....it did not! It did not even cost $100 to get the coverage I wanted. I wanted medical, trip interruption, lost luggage insurance among other things.
I have been insured with InsureMyTrip before for an international trip and there was a claim filed; it was handled very fast, no problems! I highly recommend InsureMyTrip!

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are pleased to learn that you purchased travel insurance that was of the best value to you. The MEDEX TravMed Choice Outbound plan is considered a Single-Trip Medical plan. Medical plans also include coverage for medical evacuation, accidental death, lost baggage, and trip interruption. Your friends were likely anticipating that you would purchase a comprehensive policy to cover trip cancellation. Comprehensive policies are more expensive than medical plans because they are designed to protect the cost of your trip, and offer a larger variety of travel benefits.
