The MEDEX TravMed Choice Outbound plan is available to U.S. residents who need medical coverage while traveling abroad on trips up to one year in length. There are multiple medical limits to select from, ranging from $10,000 to $500,000. This plan also offers Emergency Medical Evacuation and Accidental Death and Dismemberment benefits, as well as hazardous sports coverage. There are also many 24/7 assistance services included with this plan.

I'm not sure about the plan. It was reasonably priced and covered what I wanted. Since I made no claim I don't know how well I was covered. I liked the follow up after the purchase and the phone numbers that I could use if I needed a claim.

We had a momentary scare and thought we might need to have our son seen by a doctor in Amsterdam. I called in and received excellent support identifying a couple of nearby hospitals/clinics that we could take him to if necessary. The gentlemen that helped me was fantastic and answered all of our questions. It was so reassuring, thank you.
