After filing a claim for a cancelled trip, our experience with this company was terrible. We continually had to call them to track the claim and every time they would say we needed to send more paperwork. Some receipts we sent them 4 times. We even had one of the tour operators email us to ask why they kept asking him for the same information. It took about 6 months for us to get about half of our money back. The one good thing I will say is about InsureMyTrip, who stepped in to help us at one point and were great to deal with.
Michael H. would not recommend this plan to a friend or relative.

    We are sorry to learn that you were dissatisfied with the claims service. We apologize on behalf of the claims administrator that your claim took an unusually long time to process, and that you were repeatedly asked to provide documentation that had already been submitted. Depending upon the complexity of the claim, and how readily available the claims documentation is, claims processing should take anywhere between 3-8 weeks.

Processing a travel insurance claim requires documentation that demonstrates the costs and circumstances surrounding the incident. If any information is missing or incomplete, the claim cannot be paid. Our claims department is held to a high standard of quality to make sure your claim is processed timely and correctly. When more information is requested, it is usually an attempt to help clients get the most out of their claim.
