I suppose the coverage would have been good if I had needed it, however, I never received any information after my purchase (this review request is the first communication) and had I needed to avail of the insurance, I wouldn't have had any clue where to begin - I didn't even have the name of the insurance company. Fortunately, I didn't need to use it.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Prime
The plan is great but I was disappointed that coverage for my prescription glasses was not included.....someone stepped on them on the plane and broke them. I think they should be included in the coverage. Other than that, I was very satisfied with the great customer service representative that took excellent care of me. I would not hesitate to use your company again.

The claim process was S-L-O-W -- it took nearly 8 weeks (and a couple phone calls) from initial contact to getting the actual check. For a small baggage delay claim, it seemed extremely long and I would encourage them to improve their service levels and timing. Because of the delays and follow-up I had to keep doing, I would think twice before purchasing their policy again. In the end, they did come through though.

We are happy that we did not use the insurance, but we had it in case we needed it. We bought the same plan last year and had a 5 day delay in getting a suitcase in Rome, thus we used it last year.

Thankfully, I did not have a need to file a claim but I was confident that if that need arose I had the proper coverage. Since the Ruby Princess dodged three hurricanes by making a major course correction and came into Florida one day behind Hurricane Sandy we were more fortunate than some other ships in the area.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Prime
I purchased this policy because of the payment for trip delay of 6 hours or more. Since international travel was involved I wanted to be compensated for lost time in case of flight delays and/or cancellations. Since my return flight was cancelled in Chicago and I was over 12 hours late getting home I filed a claim for the $250 per day delay coverage. It was denied. I was told it would only reimburse for expenses. This is not what the policy reads. I will never use your company again and will certainly tell anyone looking for "insurance" that your company is only a reimbursement company, not an insurance company.

    Um, that's how all insurance works. You get actual expenses paid up to a set amount. Sounds like you wanted a windfall and they rightly denied you.
