Due to Coronavirus, I purchased "Cancel for Any Reason" plan for my honeymoon trip for "just in case".
I canceled a week prior to my trip (to be on the safe side), I submitted my claim with all asked documents the same day I canceled everything. I received a refund check for 75% of whatever cost that was not refunded to me by airline/agency after 3 weeks. Highly recommend this company.

Trip insurance, like most other insurance, is a necessary evil. Damned if you do, damned if you don't! Fortunately, we didn't have to review the coverages and did not have to file a claim on this trip. We just trusted the protection was there if we had needed it.

We had an incident with our rental car, that wasn’t included in our regular auto insurance, of course we declined the Rental agency’s coverage, thinking we had the best and when we purchased the travel insurance we didn’t get the coverage for Rental Car. Since this was our first time getting travel insurance, we now know better! I was however grateful for the help of the travel insurance agent, as she directed us to contact our credit card company for the coverage we needed! Thank you for the help provided and saving the rest of our trip!

My claim was for medical trip cancellation and was essentially ignored for a number of weeks, even after repeated calls. They used a technicality to avoid reimbursement for airfare. They eventually reimbursed for the expenses of 2 hotel nights and the trip deposit and an airline administrative fee, but it took on the order of two to three months. There claims process is by paper form.

We do want you and your fellow customers to be aware that InsureMyTrip offers a Customer Advocate Program. Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim, such as a claim taking too long to process. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.

Almost thought I would have to use the plan. Plane door seal had a problem. Airline decided we could go as it was not a major. Then the pilot ran out of flying time. We off loaded; reboarded about an hour later & then midflight ground stoppage in Boston - 4 hours later we arrived. On the return flight, again a ground stoppage. It was reassuring that I had coverage in the event I couldn't make it to my event, etc.

Because your company wasnt open at the time we were delayed I could not have my questions answered. We needed a hotel and paid for it with our credit card points. You then said you could not reimburse me for that. The cost of the room doesnt change because of how i paid for it. You couldnt answer my question and your insurance was worthless to me because of that. Will not use again.

    Thank you for your review. Each insurance provider has a 24 hour emergency assistance center that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The contact information for the assistance center is included in the confirmation email sent to you, after the policy is purchased. Within this information travelers are provided a contact number for in and outside of the United States.
    The insurance is meant to cover your out of pocket expenses. When using points to pay for expenses, the only expense you may be out of pocket is the fees and taxes that may be applicable. As points are not out of pocket expenses those are not reimbursable. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
