I would like to see them price cancel for any reason a little more reasonable especially if you get that coverage immediately when you book a cruise .

    Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR), which is an optional coverage that is available in some plans for an additional premium, allows you to cancel your trip prior to departure for other than a covered reason. There are 3 conditions that must be met to purchase a Cancel For Any Reason Rider as follows: Purchase the policy within 10-21 days of First Trip Payment; Insure ALL prepaid and non-refundable travel expenses prior to departure; Trip must be canceled more than 2-3 days prior to departure date. If you meet all 3 of these conditions, most of the policies will reimburse you for 50% to 75% of your trip costs depending on the plan you select.

    Although it may appear to be expensive, CFAR does reimburse you with a check while most cruise lines provide you only with a voucher for a future trip.

My only concern was the death in the family part. My grandmother passed in February and I did not go on my trip. I also was not eligible to make a claim. The trip was about 6 weeks after, but there was so much to do (I was her live-in caregiver) that by the time the paperwork was done and arrangements made, I finally had time to grieve and be there for my father (his mother). The only thing that saved me my money was the company the cruise was chartered through. They didn’t refund of course (no refunds for ANY reason) but they did apply my funds to next year’s trip. It would nice if you could look into the death in the family part and amend it, since grieving is a process and a time limit or relation stipulation is hard to decide on who matters most to you in your life.
That being said, your company was very nice and the plan was great, I will be purchasing again for my next vacation. Thank you.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip several months ago for a non-covered reason. Unfortunately, the plan offered no pro-rated return of premium for a trip not taken. Might be a feature that you would wish to add and factor into the pricing.

I have used Insure My Trip for all our travel abroad and in this case Roam Right had the best pricing for the Trip Insurance which was the basis of my purchase.

I had to file a claim. The procedure to file was easy enough but it took forever for the check to arrive. Also there was an issue with the check and I'm trying to get re-sent. They have not responded to any emails or communications at all.

    Thank you for your comments on your claims experience with RoamRight. We do acknowledge that the process took much longer than was reasonable, but we are pleased to hear that you received your check on November 1st.

    As our "Unparalleled Customer Service" promised, we assigned an advocate to your claim. The advocate immediately contacted RoamRight claims department who advised that the amount of your refund was correct as the claim was filed using the Cancel for Any Reason clause which reimbursed you for 75% for your prepaid non-refundable travel expenses.

    Regarding the issue with the check being made out in the wrong name, it was unfortunate that your request to make the check payable to another party was received after the check was issued on September 21, 2017. RoamRight did put a stop payment on that check and issued another check in the correct name. We are sorry to hear that the process took an additional 44 days before you received the reissued check.

I took out the insurance because I was doing a cruise to Mexico. We had many problems because of the hurricane in Florida. Lost our flight and hotel reservations. I tried contacting the phone number on the paperwork several times but nobody ever answered. We were on our own.

In that email, you were provided with the 24 Hour Emergency Assistance phone numbers. Roam Right has both a toll free number and a number that you can call collect from overseas.
