As a former insurance agent I always use Insuremytrip when I travel. I can choose the coverages I want & the price I'm willing to pay. The financial stability of the company is important to me as well & I would not purchase insurance with a company with less than an A- rating no matter how attractive the premium is.

Insurance is something you buy hoping not to use it. Hard to rate a plan until you’ve needed it. With that being said, I’ve purchased it before and I will again.

I’m sorry to hear your trip did not go as planned. Insurance covers for the specific reasons, or covered perils, outlined within the Policy of Insurance. Each claim is fully adjudicated based on the coverage purchased and supporting documentation. You may submit an appeal if your claim was formally denied and you have reason to believe this was an error, or if you have new documentation to support coverage. The easiest way to accomplish this is by responding to the written notification you would have received if/when the claim was denied. I gave this plan a 5-star review based on the proposed/potential coverage and cost. I did not need to file a claim on the plan, so I cannot speak to whether or not the plan met expectations nor the service of the company for filing a claim. For cost and coverage, the plan provided what I needed to have covered for a reasonable price.

I never ended up needing my travel insurance, but there was one instance when I thought I might and I found it almost impossible to contact the center to find a provider and what was covered. As I only had a data plan for my phone, there was no way to call a normal number and I could not easily find an online chat to get the same information.
I don't know if I missed a Whatsapp number I could call, or an online chat help, but it would be useful to add if it doesn't already exist.

We got caught up in that mess at Newark airport in June 2023. United moved our connecting flights to the next day while we were in the air, and there was an approximately four-hour line just to talk to a rebooking agent. No hotels, no rental cars available in the area. I submitted my claim for the flight since it was of no use to us being a day later, and I was VERY happy with how quickly AIG Travel Guard resolved my case. Thank you so much. This was my first time ever submitting a claim, and I was worried it would take forever, but it was completed in about a week's time.
