I didn't need to file any claims on the insurance, so as far as I know, the coverage was good. I hope I never have to file a claim on travel insurance but was glad to have the coverage in case I needed it. There were others on the trip who had illnesses and injuries, and saw first had, the issues for those who didn't have any insurance.

A plan is only as good as the function of it during a claim processing. Fortunately we did not need to file any claims for our trip. All went well. It gave us peace of mind to know we had the insurance coverage if needed. Traveling is not inexpensive nor is insurance but in our opinion, they go hand in hand.

We used InsureMyTrip to purchase a C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector plan for our trip to Switzerland, Austria, and the Czech Republic, as part of a tour with the Hickory Choral Society to sing in several venues. This would have been a "trip of a lifetime" but, unfortunately, my wife's Dad passed away literally minutes before our flight was to depart from Charlotte, NC. Although, the price of the policy was a little higher than I would have liked, the coverage was great and the company was great to work with upon my father-in-law's passing. We received a refund promptly, which included the cost of the tour with the Hickory Choral Society, as well as the fee charged by American Airlines for re-depositing the miles we used for the air transportation. The company did everything they should have, promptly, and with compassion and care. We couldn't ask for anything more.

Soon after I had arrived at my beautiful Swiss destination, I heard that my 89 year old mother had fallen and broken her hip, and was hospitalized, and was going to need surgery. I had to cut my trip short, but the insurance company paid for my losses of pre-paid train tickets, pre-paid hotels, airline ticket charges, and telephone costs.
The hotel that I was forced to stay at the night before my newly booked air travel was not covered. It seems they only pay for non- refundable charges, not charges that are incurred as a result of the illness of family member. The insurance company was wonderfully helpful. It took a little time for them to process the claim, but I was impressed and happy with the outcome. I would very much recommend them!

We have been a frequent user of the InsureMyTrip.com website. The first time I used it may have been in 2005 or earlier. Since I travel internationally every year, I have found this site invaluable. I have saved thousands of dollars using this site rather than buying the tour companys' insurances. On two occasions, I had to file a claim when my husband became ill and had to be escorted home with a nurse and oxygen supply. Great service from the insurer that I chose.

Luckily I did not have the need to use your plan. I do think it is too expensive but it did seem to give sufficient coverage on paper.
