Good policy but it jumps with age... I'm not as concern with cancellation as much as the value of medical evacuation..Maybe this could be adjusted in the price...

I needed to see a doctor on a cruise ship and he needed to give me a prescription for medication I needed for my thyroid for 10 days. Had I waited the 10 days of the cruise I would have been severely thrown into a medical problem. I was told that wasn’t covered because it was not an emergency that happened on the ship. It could have turned into an emergency but I needed the medication and I had to do what I had to do and I did assume that it was covered. We have always been satisfied when we have had to use medical for any reasons in the past. I will continue to use InsureMyTrip for our insurances but I was just disappointed that this could not have been taken care of and my home insurance does not take care of me when I am out of the country.

Thank goodness we didn’t have to use the insurance, but happy we were covered. We were delayed going to Labadee Haiti because we had to go to the Bahamas to take someone that was sick and needed to go to the hospital, so it really hit home the importance of having insurance because you just never expect to have an emergency like that happen.

I always purchase travel insurance before traveling. I usually purchase from another company, but someone from InsureMyTrip recommended C+F. Fortunately, I didn't have to use it, but thought the coverage and price were better than most other insurance companies.

For a medical situation to be covered under this policy, it must be considered emergency medical and first occur during your covered trip. "Benefits will be paid for the Covered Expense incurred, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Confirmation of Benefits as a result of a Covered Accidental Injury or covered Sickness, which first occurs during Your Trip."
