While the plan I purchased seemed to hit all the major features I wanted at a reasonable price, the true test comes if/when a claim is submitted. My trip all went according to plan, I didn't submit a claim so it's hard to give an accurate review on a product I technically never used.

We did not need to use the travel insurance but it certainly provided peace of mind. We were traveling over the Christmas holiday and all flights were delayed during our trip and we barely made the last flight out of ATL to home. It was nice to know that we were covered in case we had an unexpected overnight stay.

I have yet to need to file a claim so I don't know how well the companies that have been suggested will actually come through if I have to cancel a tour or travel plan.

Thankfully we did not need to file a claim for the travel insurance and were able to enjoy our trip. The customer service provided when purchasing the insurance was excellent and we rested easy knowing that it was there just in case. Would definitely purchase again for a trip that had to have all the costs pre-paid.

I think InsureMyTrip could be improved by having a more interactive questionnaire on the website that transitions into a phone discussion if the customer requests it, especially for the "what are you most concerned about" question.
