Had my wallet stolen on my second day in Paris, I was a little disappointed that all they could do was replace my wallet. I lost my wallet and the few cards I had with me and 100.00 in cash. I do understand you have no prove of what is in the wallet, just had to get it off my chest.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. You raise a good point, not all items are covered under the lost/stolen luggage benefit. It is important for customers to review their policies before they depart. Here is an excerpt taken from the Travel Insured Worldwide Trip Protector plan: “Baggage and Personal Effects†means goods being used by Your during a Covered Trip. The term Baggage and Personal Effects does not include: 13. keys, money, credit cards.Dec 05,2014

We were glad to have coverage though we did not file a claim. Walking the frantic streets of Paris and then biking 125 miles through the countryside of France was a good reason to be insured. One of our friends fell and broke her wrist so we know being insured is important. We had a wonderful time in museums, chateaus and along the Loire River.

The plan, with the options I chose, hit all the high points of my reasons for wanting trip insurance. By definition all insurances costs rise as the insured ages, at my age (65+) the costs are higher than for a younger person. My cost/risk analysis, however crude, assured me I was making a sound decision.
