I didn't have to use the insurance but found the process through InsureMyTrip to be easy. I called the number to ensure that the things I wanted covered were in fact covered and the person I talked to on the phone was very helpful in this regard.

Trip Protector Lite Expanded
This plan, at a very reasonable price, granted us the peace of mind we needed in planning an overseas trip while managing cancer. Your staff was incredibly helpful in identifying a plan that would in fact cover any last minute contingencies, at a very affordable price. We thank God we did not have to cancel, so it turns out it was a "peace of mind" investment more than anything else.

I'm amazed! After reading so many horror stories about customers getting reimbursement, I was happily surprised today to get exactly what Travel Insured promised. I paid extra premiums to cancel for any reason (and knowing my job) to cancel for a work-related reason. Sure enough, my job got in the way of my trip and although it cost TI more than I paid, but less that 2 weeks after I submitted my claim I received a check for the total amount.

Good insurance coverage for a reasonable price, good preliminary purchase service, did not have need to file a claim but would definitely purchase this insurance for a future out-of-USA trip

Shortly after finalizing plans and buying tickets for a European ski trip, I tore my ACL. Doctor recommended canceling the trip, so I did. I submitted all required forms for the claim and had my money back in about 1 week with no issues. I was very pleased with the prompt service.

I did have medical treatment while in France, but the paperwork required to file a claim With Travel Insured Worldwide Trip Protector was enormous and I was required to file a claim with my primary medical insurance first. I decided that my time was worth more than than the time required to file a claim.

The word "secondary" is highlighted in red lettering in the policy overview section prior to purchase. Clicking on this word "secondary" defines what secondary coverage means. The Worldwide Trip Protector Plus at a higher premium, your coverage would have been "primary."Nov 14,2014

A medical emergency prevented us from taking our trip in the first place. When we went to file a claim, the [Travel Insured] claim instructions said to contact the airline for a refund before filing. We did that, and Delta granted a full refund of our fares. As all we had insured was our tickets, we never actually went through the claims process. But we were pleased with the customer service that [Travel Insured] provided and would recommend them to others. We will probably insure with them again in the future. (Note: Don't ask your doctor to fill in the [Travel Insured] claim form before you find out what the airline requires for a refund request. Our doctor was put out that he had write a letter for the airline after we had already had him complete the claim form, which turned out to be unnecessary.)
