Recently we bought Travelex Travel Max plan for our trip to London, UK . On the day of the departure, our flight was cancelled due to weather and because of this we missed our non-refundable hotel stay in London as well as had to spend additional money to cover trip cancellation related charges. We immediately called Travelex and their representatives were very helpful in guiding us through the process. Upon returning from our trip we field the claim with Travelex which was processed without any delay. I highly recommend their services.

Didn't have to use the insurance but it was nice to know it was there in case I needed. Also it was cheap and I bought it on the day I was leaving which was very handy

I purchased this plan, and am glad I did. I broke my leg in England, and the hospital there could not do the surgery for at least three weeks. So I called Travelex and they did a superb job of getting me back to the USA, where the surgery took place almost as soon as I arrived. Travelex sent a trauma nurse to get me home, arranged for a stretcher flight to take me home, had ambulances waiting in multiple places, had passport and customs officials process me on the plane before I got off, and paid my hospital bills and ambulance bills in England. They also arranged for the US hospital to be expecting me and have me signed in so I could immediately be prepared for surgery. I will never again travel overseas without this insurance. I have told my grown children that if they ever go out of the country that if they do not purchase the insurance that I will purchase it for them. In addition to getting me back to the USA Travelex promptly reimbursed me for things I paid for but could not participate in because of my accident -- because the insurance included trip interruption.

The true value of a Plan is what happens and how you are treated when you file the claim. Since no claim was filed, it is difficult to completely evaluate.

Easy to give this Plan high marks since I did not submit a claim. I have no idea how the Plan would actually perform in that event.. It could have been anywhere from wonderfully responsive to a complete nightmare to resolve. I will never know.
