I had an awesome experience with Travelex Insurance. I actually needed to move my trip because my husband was unable to get off for Christmas so the only thing the company needed from him was a letter from his boss saying that he was not giving him Christmas off due to operational needs. I submitted this to them as well as proof of purchase of my trip on my credit card and they refunded me the entire trip. Sent it straight to my paypal account. I used that money to book the trip for thanksgiving instead. The company is easy to deal with and I just purchased travel insurance again for my trip to UAE!

While on my trip I called to inquire about medical coverage, reimbursement and the possibility of needing to extend my trip due to my child’s illness (and the type of documentation I’d need in order to file later). My calls kept getting dropped and I couldn’t get in touch with a single person. Absolutely useless.

I never use to take out travel insurance until my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Plans can be made but you never know what life brings. On this last trip it ended up one of my children had emergency surgery a month before we were to leave. I was not sure if we would proceed with our plans. Luckily everything was fine and we did go but I was not stressed knowing I had the travel insurance if plans had changed.

This will not only provide higher medical coverage but the limits on baggage loss, baggage delay, trip delay and medical evacuation will be increased as well.
