It is hard to rate an insurance plan if you didn’t file a claim. We fortunately did not need to file a claim. A review from someone who did file a claim will carry more weight for a review. I did like knowing that if some unforeseen circumstance occurred we would not have been out thousands of dollars.

My trip was delayed and ultimately interrupted due to bad weather that cancelled my flight to a connecting city. I lost three trip days because of this situation. I had never experienced missing a flight and was concerned that the insurance company would look for an excuse not to reimburse me for my losses. I am happy to report that my fears were unnecessary. Travelex reimbursed me for all my requested expenses. This is the second time I have used this company and the first time I have had to make a claim. My advice to travelers who experience similar circumstances would be to keep all receipts of extra expenses. In addition, get written proof from the airline regarding the reason for the delayed or cancelled flight that caused interruption of your trip.
