Did not need to file a claim, but it was nice to know that the coverage was there just in case we needed it. We had a claim on our last trip that was taken care of promptly, so we came back for this trip.

We had the almost unbelievable misfortune to have two, count them 2, 24-hour travel delays on this trip: one going, and one coming back. If something like that happens to you, be sure to save every piece of paper you get: old and new boarding passes, original itinerary, etc. You will need them to file a claim. The company was great. They paid the claim promptly and with a note that said: "It has been a pleasure to be of service."

No claim, so no idea about the coverage: would it have paid, what kind of fine print would have been used not to pay, etc. In the past, though, Travelex did pay a claim (after appeals, etc., but did pay).
