I like these plans and the customer service is nice also. I've used twice now and will use again. I haven't had to file a claim but I'm happy about that. Going to knock on wood now. The price has gone up a bit but hey so has everything in life. The peace of mind is just priceless, especially that I'm traveling solo with my child, it is smart to be covered.

thankfully I have never had to use this plan but the one thing I will remember is to get it 15 to 21 days after I pay for my trip instead of going on my trip in order to waive the pre condition...

Absolutely! It's very refreshing not having to fill out endless forms with zillions of questions when one only wants to be insured for unexpected situations which have nothing to do with one's present health status. And then, after that exhausting exercise, to get hosed with a fee that often, in my case, constituted nearly half of the airfare.

This plan gave us the reassurance we needed while vacationing on the Florida Gulf Coast during hurricane season. Tropical Storm Debby could have caused us problems but luckily left the area we were traveling to early enough to save our vacation. The policy gave us the peace of mind should there be an evacuation of the Cape. Well worth the money considering what we would have lost.

I wanted to buy protection for two reasons: injury prior to the trip (a bicycling tour) and my employer cancelling all vacations due to storms. I wound up having to purchase accidental death and dismemberment, accident sickness and medical expense coverage, baggage delay, lost baggage, etc., etc. Perhaps I didn't clearly explain the coverage I needed when I called InsureMyTrip, but in any case, I felt the cost was too high.

This plan, on paper, met all my requirements. However, it is almost impossible to rate it until a claim is made although we hope that such an event never happens.
All in all, this was the best plan for me and I will use it again. In addition, I have mentioned it to family members and friends.
