AIG Travel Travel Guard® Deluxe
Obviously the insurance companies are overwhelmed, but there was absolutely no way that I could contact AIG to ask a simple question. I filed the claim online but all of the forms asked for a claim number. Finally I decided to file without a claim number only to discover that the number is assigned only after all of the electronic documents are uploaded. This could have been easily handled by the customer care team, but after two weeks I still have no answer.

The claim was finally settled but my assessment remains the same. The company should have updated the website that assured me that my inquiry would be answered promptly. This expectation caused at least a week of unnecessary delay.

HTH Worldwide Trip Protector Classic
I had to change the coverage by two days more and the insurance company charged me $9.00 more even though the price of the trip decreased. They would not give me a refund or at least not charge me the $9.00. Nickel and dime me!

    Thank you for your feedback. Although we are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the policy, the HTH Worldwide Trip Protector plan included a 10 Review Period:

    "All premium is non-refundable after a ten (10) day review period from the date of purchase in the event You have not incurred any claims during that time. In the event the premium paid for coverage is less than the required premium for coverage, benefits will be paid in direct proportion of the actual amount paid to the required premium due."

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Lite
Fortunately, nothing happening during my expensive trip & cruise to Dubai- Abu-Dabi to use the coverage I purchased.
But I red a lot of reviews from a satisfied customers and only can say, that it was easy to purchase and coverage was understandable and the price was better than from the other companies.

The plan was fairly priced; however, I was a bit upset that the option to cancel at any time for any reason was not available because we hadn't purchased the plan at least 14 days after purchasing our trip. I think this rule should be revised. There should be no deadline!

    We appreciate your purchase and review of the April Travel Protection, Choice policy. Comprehensive policies offer various high risk benefits. These high risk benefits include: Pre-existing Conditions Waiver, Cancel for Any Reason, Cancel for Work Reasons, and Financial Default. Because the insurance carriers are taking on these high risks, they require that you purchase within 10-21 days of your initial trip payment date. This is an industry standard. However, with most policies, you are able to purchase the coverage for your initial trip cost and then add to the policy as you make additional purchases. This ensures that you receive the time sensitive benefit(s) that you are looking for, and are also able to purchase within the time frame required. In the future, please call us at 1-800-487-4722 with any questions about coverage and time sensitive benefits. One of our licensed insurance agents would be happy to assist you.

InsureAssist TravCan
My policy worked as a secondary coverage, and in such case you need to have a proof whether the primary insurance or carrier covered some of your loss. My suitcase was damaged by carrier (cruise line). I submitted my claim to InsureAssist not having proof whether the carrier covered my loss. They explained to me that I had to file the first claim with the cruise line. I filed a claim with the carrier and was partially reimbursed by them. After submitting carrier's statement of reimbursement and other required documentation, I receive full reimbursement from InsureAssist very promptly. They were very responsive. Thank you.
