Nationwide Mutual Insurance Prime
We used this ins for when my son went to France in November. Fortunately we did not have to use it. In comparing other plans I liked the cost verses what was covered. I didn't realize my health ins wouldn't cover him in a foreign country so I opted for a plan that paid more in that area. Again, very fortunate not to have to use it. We have another child going to Italy in the spring and I will be using Nationwide again for his trip.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
This plan gave me the peace of mind that if there were any problems prior to the trip or during the trip, I would be covered in most cases and wouldn’t lose the money I’d paid for my trip and it would cover cost of most major interruptions if they happened. Thank you!

Generali Global Assistance Standard
System was user friendly but other than signing up for it I had no contact with anyone. Like all insurance, (home and car) I believe if you don’t ever have to use it there should be some incentive to have money returned to you as a bonus for not using it! I’m 68 yrs old and have paid cray insurance rates since I was 16 and never had to put a claim in! All that money wasted”just in case!” Insurance companies should be giving refunds to people who never collect a cent from them! Just my thoughts!

We chose this plan because we have elderly parents and were concerned that we may be called back home should they become ill. Fortunately we did not need to make a claim, but we enjoyed our trip more knowing that if something came up we were covered, and would have help making arrangements to come home.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
Easy to purchase with all the important coverage we wanted. However, our traveling friends were able to purchase comparable coverage through American Airlines for 1/3 the price we paid. Perhaps a special deal.
