Well, everything went swimmingly until our flight home on 10/12 was delayed due to Storm Cullum. We were stuck for 3 1/2 days trying to get home. Since our insurance was only booked through 10/12, I tried to get in touch with you and with Medjet to see if it needed to be be extended. I called the emergency number on a Sunday to find out. They said they couldn't help me and to call back on Monday. Fat lot of good that did.

Fortunately, we did not need to use the insurance plan. We have never had to use insurance for any of our travels ( all 7 continents) however the peace of mind is important. Expensive, but precautionary. The final leg of this trip was on a cruise ship. In two ports, there were ambulances pulled up to the ship to take off passengers before the rest of the cruise passengers were allowed to depart. Not us, but a reminder of the need for insurance for medical emergencies, if needed.

I guess this plan would cover the biggies, medic evac, medical emergency or if trip is cancelled for one of the covered reasons. I was denied coverage when our taxi failed to pick us up and we missed our bus for one leg of a 3 day excursion. I had to immediately hire a private car to get us to the second leg of trip.( $206) Claims denied because delay was not over 6 hrs. (I could not wait that long to make other arrangements) and because the taxi was not delayed because of terror, weather, etc. Just check to be sure you understand the limitations of the policy. Nice folks to work with otherwise.

Our flight on Wow Air was cancelled the night before our trip to Europe. And with their limited flights to our city, the next available flight was 8 days later, causing us to miss most of the planned trip. Therefore, we had to cancel our trip. We filed a claim for the nonrefundable hotels and tours. It took about two months to process, but they paid the full amount. I would recommend them as they bailed us out of thousands of dollars of loss.

I was encouraged to file a claim per my telephone discussing with an AIG rep. The claim was denied since my policy did not cover such a problem. Why did the first rep not tell me that?? I had to go through all the procedure in filing when it could have been avoided from the beginning.

"We appreciate you posting a review so that we can continually improve our processes. In reviewing your call, we see that you contacted our emergency operations center at 12:12am 10/14/18 and had questions on extending your membership due to weather. The operations center coordinator advised that the membership services department could answer those questions or make changes to your existing membership on Monday morning and verified that you did not have an emergency at that time. In attempting to obtain your call back number, either the line was disconnected or you disconnected the call with the operations center coordinator. Due to being disconnected without ​​a call back number, we were unable to follow up."
