AXA Assistance USA Gold
I had to cancel my trip. I ripped up my knee. I just got confirmation from AXA that I would receive a check for the full amount of the cost of the trip. I am looking forward to receiving my check. It was quite timely on their part. I would definitely recommend them and use them for my next trip.

The insurance was fine, but the costs are based upon age (which is the only easy thing you can base it on). So for us, who are in very good health and physical shape for our age (which allows us to do bicycling vacations around the world), the price seems unfairly high. But I realize that you can't do a complete medical evaluation on your customers.

I bought this policy in case of unforeseen illness or death of an elderly in-law. Luckily, I didn't need to file a claim. All in all, this coverage appears to be the best of the insurance plans for me and my partner. I liked that they contacted me via e-mail just prior to my trip.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
I was happy that I did not have to use the AIG Travel Guard Basic plan. That is when you find out of good it is! It appears to have covered our needs and I am always happy when I do not need any insurance.
