Fortunately, I didn't need to file a claim for my 3-week tour of Indonesia.

This was the first time I've purchased from InsureMyTrip. After comparing several travel insurance plans I was impressed with the flexibility of coverage choices and the pricing (unlike the travel insurance plan offered by my tour company, which is "all-or-nothing"). That's why I chose it - I plan to use it for future international travel.

Seven Corners Roundtrip Choice
We had to file a claim because our flight was delayed and we missed our connecting flight to Indonesia. This caused a full day lost on our vacation. Seven Corners promptly paid our claim for this. We were very pleased with the service we received.

AXA Assistance USA Gold
I was looking for a "Cancel for Any Reason" policy. I had purchased a policy like this for another trip that I took 4 years ago and it offered a 100% cancellation payment should I need to use it. I could not find 100% when searching for a policy for this trip. The AXA Assistance USA Gold offered 75% payment. It was the best value for the price.

InsureMyTrip is a travel insurance broker who represents several companies. The customer service representative did a good job comparing various options to me.

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. Comprehensive travel insurance policies provide trip cancellation coverage which reimburses up to 100% of the covered trip cost, if the trip is cancelled due to a covered, unforeseen event. Cancel For Any Reason is an optional benefit for travelers who are cornered about potentially cancelling their trip for a reason that is not covered by trip cancellation.

    Several years ago, InsureMyTrip offered a couple of Cancel For Any Reason polices that reimbursed up to 80-90% of the trip cost. Now, the maximum limit for Cancel For Any Reason is 70-75% of the trip cost.

AXA Assistance USA Gold
First time we got Travel Insurance; but it was a big trip with the major cost non-refundable. The trip went fine except due to a travel interruption we lost one night (non-refundable) of lodging. Filed a claim which was very easy to do. Within a week or so after they received our claim forms, they cut us a check for that nights lodging. Can't argue with that. Highly recommend AXA Assistance USA!!!!

I thought I would have to make a claim and spoke to a representative on the phone outside of business hours. she was very helpful although she couldn't answer my specific question. It turned out I did not have to file a claim after all, luckily for me!
