For travelers on the hunt for a relaxing vacation, you are in luck. There are plenty of posh resorts that swear to offer haggard guests some well-deserved R&R. If your too stressed out to scan booking sites for the best spots to relax, no sweat. We poked around and found some top relaxing destinations that are sure to deliver an Ah-Hah! moment.

Hawaii

U.S. News and World Report recently rolled out their list of top relaxing spots to visit in the US. No surprise, the allure of tropical beaches won the prize. Hawaii’s Big Island topped the list thanks to its slower pace.

Bald Head Island, North Carolina

The Travel Channel put North Carolina’s Bald Head Island on the map. The online magazine ranked this quiet island off the coast of Wilmington as one of the most relaxing spots to visit in the Fall — but with no cars allowed on the island, the peaceful silence stays all year round.

Casco Bay, Maine

Maine’s slow paced vibe is a big draw for visitors seeking to unwind. Redbook magazine featured Casco Bay as a top spot for R&R thanks to local inns that encourage guests to deplug. The rooms at Chebeague Island Inn have no televisions or landline phones. With so much free time, guests have no choice but to take advantage of the great outdoors.

Moscow, Idaho

Idaho tends to fall under the radar, and that’s why so many love it.  The quiet country living has its appeal to those looking to escape the hectic city life. Smartertravel.com suggests staying at MaryJamesFarm (yes, there are no spaces) for the ultimate relaxing glamping vacation.

Montage Laguna Beach, California

When Coastal Living magazine was searching for a dream resort, the coastal bluffs of the Pacific was a good start. Laguna Beach is known for its sensational ocean views and glamorous social scene. The Montage resort was the magazine’s pick. It offers a full spa menu and yoga classes.
