Unique Hotels and Resorts

If you are looking for a new and exciting experience on your next trip, you are in luck. Many hotels and resorts are trying to break away from the monotony and provide unique experiences for guests. Here are some of our favorites.

Liberty Hotel, Boston

You don’t have to be a felon to stay in one of Boston’s most notorious old prisons. The Liberty Hotel, located in the heart of Beacon Hill, is a former jail. In 2007, the building caught the eye of hotel investors and was converted into a gorgeous hotel with nearly 300-hotel rooms. Guests may still get a sense of being in lockup with some prison bars still intact. (Photo Source: Liberty Hotel)

Winvian, Connecticut

This luxurious resort compound in the quiet hills of rural Connecticut offers 18 individually designed cottages. Guests can choose to stay in a restored 1968 Sikorsky helicopter, a treehouse, a clubhouse or a more traditional suite. Guests will easily morph into relax mode at this 113-acres retreat and can take part in a variety of outdoor activities, from fishing to horseback riding. After a long day, guests can enjoy farm-to-table cuisine.

Sweet Escape, Florida

Located just outside Orlando, this private estate is sure to deliver a sweet experience. The vacation rental home, available on HomeAway, features an outdoor waterpark with an ice cream shaped pool and movie theater. Inside the home, guests can sing their heart out in the 1400 square foot karaoke nightclub with disco lights. The home offers 8,000 square feet of space for guests to unwind after a day of playing and enjoying local theme parks

Paws Up Resort, Wyoming

How about signing up for an American safari? At this glamping destination, guests can stay at one of the posh tent suites and spend some time touring local wildlife.  Situated on 37,000 acres of a working cattle ranch in Montana, the Paws Up Resort managed to create a safari-style atmosphere that appeals to the camper-at-heart who craves luxury.
