Academic Explorer All Inclusive - International

The Academic Explorer All Inclusive - International plan provides a wide range of protection for your international travel up to 365 days in length. Benefits for Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption are included in the event you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due to one of the listed covered reasons. Unforeseen issues could disrupt your travel plans, but this plan offers coverage for a number perils so you won't lose out on your financial investment. Cancellation For any Reason and Interruption For Any Reason benefits are optional and available to residents in most states (if all eligibility requirements are met). This is the best option for reimbursing the majority of your trip cost in the event you have to cancel or interrupt your trip due to a reason that is not generally covered by the plan.

Also included are benefits for emergency medical protection, to fill potential gaps left by your primary medical coverage while traveling abroad, and emergency medical evacuation and repatriation. This provides coverage if you are hospitalized during your trip and need medical transportation to a more appropriate medical facility, or need to be brought back home for recovery or further treatment. Coverage in case a natural disaster, civil unrest, military action, or political instability requires you to evacuate your destination is included in most states.

Other coverages included with this plan:

  • Lost Baggage Coverage
  • Baggage Delay Coverage, if your bags are delayed for more than 12 hours
  • Travel Delay Coverage, for eligible expenses you may incur if your travel is delayed for 6 or more hours due to a covered reason

Traveling and studying internationally may be a once in a lifetime chance to visit a foreign country, and you should be focusing on your experience and not having to worry about what an emergency disruption might cost you.
