The HCC Atlas Multi-Trip is a multi-trip travel medical plan available to both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens, up to age 75, who are traveling outside of their home country, but not within the U.S.
This multi-trip travel medical insurance plan covers trips up to 30 or 45 days in length per trip. But you can travel several times throughout a period of one year. This plan is ideal for the frequent traveler who takes time to explore and isn’t nervous about trip cancellation needs.
The Atlas Multi-trip plan requires you to have primary medical coverage in force to be eligible for coverage. The maximum medical limit for travelers is $1,000,000; this is a lifetime limit for the plan. Unlike some medical plans, this plan also includes coverage for acute onset of a pre-existing condition. This coverage is only available for travelers under the age of 70, but it may give a little more flexibility for medical care while traveling.
If you take several trips during the year, you may also be interested in sports and activities while you are traveling. This plan offers coverage that will give some flexibility for medical care when it comes to any injuries sustained during sports and activities. Check the full certificate for all the details.
This plan also provides coverage for a natural disaster. The natural disaster benefit can help to defray the cost of replacement accommodations in the event you are displaced from planned, paid accommodations due to evacuation from forecasted disaster or following a disaster strike.
Travel Medical plans offer specific coverage needed while traveling abroad. These plans are available to travelers who are leaving their home country and require medical insurance to fill the gaps in their primary health insurance coverage.
