Best money spent for something you hope you never use! The last 2 cruises we have been on, a passenger has had a heart attack, and was taken off the ship prior to returning to the original port. One evacuation was performed by ambulance, the other by helicopter. I can't imagine the costs involved. Hope they had trip insurance.

Took a lot of worry off our mind. We had some serious family issues taking place. One was on the day before we were supposed to leave. Our daughter-in-law got a call that her mother was hospitalized with chest pains. So our daughter-in-law, and possibly her husband and two boys, didn't know if they were going to make this trip. Fortunately, everything worked out, but you took away a lot of the worry with us knowing you had our financial backs. Thanks!

I wouldn't feel comfortable taking a cruise without medical protection and trip cancellation coverage. I was happy I didn't need to use the benefit, but it made me rest easy.

AXA Assistance USA Gold
I felt that they excluded items from my claim that should have been paid. Their policy covers "any reasonable additional expenses incurred (meals, accommodations, local Transportation, and telephone calls);" but they refused to reimburse for tips for the local transportation and hotel. Tips are an expected part of local transportation and hotel check-ins, and I think that that AXA is misinterpreting the terms of their own policy in disallowing them.

We are glad we were able to assist you in getting the majority of your trip delay claim paid. We apologize that AXA Assistance USA is unable to reimburse the tips you paid during your trip delay. However, as with all travel insurance claims, receipts and documentation are required for an expense to be covered. Covering undocumented expenses would open the door to many fraudulent claims. CSA Travel Protection Custom Luxe
My husband had to be hospitalized, and we had to cancel our trip. I contacted the cruise-line, airline, and CSA. I submitted all information requested via email, and had a check for my lost expenses in less the 3 weeks. I'm going to use CSA again for a future trip, and I am sure we will not need to, but prevention is everything.
