I did call customer service and they answered my questions -- eased my concerns. Did not need to file any claims as the Trip was pretty un-eventful from an issue perspective. All good except i found out that luggage or cloths that we have to discarded due to bed bugs from the hotel was not covered. Hotel refunded room money only.

Thank G-d I didn’t need to use it but on my last trip I got sick and missed a day. And was seen by a doctor. Generali compensated me for the loss of the day and my medical bills. That’s why I used them again

My only complaint is that the claims process moves very slowly. I submitted all of the requested documentation and then on day 28 they requested more information - all of which (except for my bank account number) they already had. I sent all of that info the same day I received the request and my claim was finally settled on day 62. During this very long wait there was no way to get any information on the status of my claim. The settlement was fair, but definitely not prompt.

We completed our trip to Italy without problem, so we had no need to file a claim. However, it was comforting to have coverage in case needed. The Worldwide Trip Protector Light plan offers economical coverage, and is especially good for those not needing extensive coverage.
