C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
My trip itinerary was changed & I was told I would receive a refund for some of my trip if I bought this insurance. I did not receive a refund & was told it was because we were informed of the change before we got on the ship...not cool. I will never purchase this again.

    "In the event Your Travel Supplier makes a change in Your Trip itinerary after Your Scheduled Departure Date, which prevents You from participating in an event/activity Prepaid prior to departure and scheduled on Your Trip itinerary, non-refundable Prepaid event/activity expenses will be payable up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Confirmation of Benefits."

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Choice Cruise
Especially traveling during hurricane season, I felt relieved knowing we had this policy. Fortunately we were lucky and everything went perfectly. I purchased this policy for our next cruise as well as the peace of mind is great knowing they are easy to work with if things don't go as planned.

It's hard to rate a service until you need to use it. However knowing you have coverage is a good piece of mind, and one less thing you have to worry about. I recommend everyone carry a policy while on a cruise.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
I specifically wanted coverage for an itinerary change as this cruise was a cruise to Bermuda. I was told that when trying to file a claim that I would not receive any benefits because I took the trip (instead of canceling when the change occurred 12 hours prior to boarding when already in Orlando) and that the cruise line substituted another port in its place and that I did not have any excursion costs that weren't refunded.

      Substituting San Juan in place of Bermuda is not a comparable event or activities offered since we were specifically looking for excursions related to Bermuda and the Bermuda Triangle. Difference of opinion saying the two are comparable but the coverage related to an itinerary change was not what I was lead to believe.

Few days before our cruise my family member was hospitalized and we had to cancel the entire cruise. Nationwide refunded all the money and it wasn't a hassle to do it. Thank you.

    Thank you for your review. The policy you purchased does offer Trip
    Delay coverage, but it is a Secondary benefit. Secondary coverage will pay you after any other Primary collectible insurance has paid the claim and the Primary policies' limits have been exhausted. Most of the plans offered on InsureMyTrip will have Trip Delay as a secondary benefit, and this will be shown on the comparison page and confirmation email.
