We were on a cruise with a tight schedule and limited access to internet. We had a flight delay that caused us to miss a prepaid tour which would have been a covered loss under our policy. However, the policy required that we make a written claim within 7 days of the claimed loss. We missed that deadline.

It's my own fault for not reading and understanding the requirements. However, I believe that this requirement is completely unreasonable -- especially for a TRAVEL policy.

Buyer beware!

i submitted a claim and was asked for all sorts of documentation. finally was assigned a claims adjuster who was not responsive and didn't return calls. after 3 months, finally got in touch with someone who seemed capable and was told my policy didn't cover cancellation. why did it take 3 months to get that information?

While I didn’t need to use the insurance it was great knowing we had it … just in case. I was very pleasantly surprised at the cost for all that was covered. I’ll be purchasing again in July for another trip!
