Although a little pricey, I went with a 390.00 plan with plenty of emergency coverage. Nothing was needed, but good to know the plan was there in case. I was traveling in India with excursions to remote parts of the Himalayas...riding on horses and trekking. So, glad I had the insurance and very grateful for an amazing and safe trip!

I was hospitalized for a covered illness, filed a claim and received reimbursement for all covered expenses. I filed all required documents in a timely fashion, however, reimbursement took approximately 10 weeks. Agents were very apologetic for the long delay and explained they had a lot of claims to process. I called every 2 weeks to obtain updates regarding my reimbursement and every time I called, I was on hold for at least 15 minutes.

I'm a little disappointed that the flight accident coverage does NOT apply while flying within the US. It doesn't make sense that the flight coverage applies only over the ocean and internationally. After all, one has to take-off from somewhere on land to get to the ocean!

The value of the IMT Travel Accident Plan is that it offers 24 Hr. Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD and D) limits up to 1 million USD for travel outside your Home Country. 24 Hr. I was going on my "trip of a lifetime" to India and I was concerned about a trip delay or illness causing a disruption in the trip. As it turns out, my health was fine, but just getting to India took two extra days (weather and and equipment maintenance). I missed two important days of my tour but the plan actually paid out after I sent in all the supporting documents. I was pleased with the ease of submitting and fast payout.

The ease of purchase online was the best part. Subsequently, there arose a situation which could have stopped my travel plans. So, I sought a claim form and it arrived promptly by email. Luckily I did not have to cancel my trip.
