Hard to review a service that provides protection for certain events if those events don’t occur and there’s no claim needed. The presumption is that it would do what it’s supposed to do... that’s why it was purchased!

This was the first time I took out trip insurance--so I was winging it. I did compare several companies and their offerings. Yours seemed reasonable and straight forward. I did call customer service and they answered my questions -- eased my concerns. Did not need to file any claims as the Trip was pretty un-eventful from an issue perspective. The Trip, however, was awesome... Thank you...

My wife became ill while in Croatia. She visited a shipboard medical and received some medications at a modest cost. A later visit would have required a significant cost should she have chosen to pursue further treatment. The cost was not a factor affecting her decision because it would have been fully covered by the insurance coverage we had purchased. My wife declined further treatment as we decided to wait until our voyage terminated. Peace of mind is a great thing to have.

I was pick-pocketed in Barcelona, Spain and found out that the vacation money in my wallet ($500) was not covered under baggage loss. Live and learn.

Although it is never pleasant to discover that you have an uncovered claim, you will find that Generali Global Assistance, along with most travel insurance plans, exclude coverage for "...money, stamps, stocks and bonds, postal or money orders, securities, accounts, bills, deeds, food stamps or credit cards..."
Because there are no travel insurance plans that will cover every situation, InsureMyTrip encourages travelers to carefully review your policy certificate prior to purchasing the policy. Generali also offers a 10 day review period:
"10-DAY RIGHT TO EXAMINE YOUR DESCRIPTION OF
COVERAGE
If you are not satisfied for any reason, you may cancel coverage under the policy within 10 days after receipt. Your premium payment will be refunded, provided that there has been no incurred covered expense and you have not left on your Trip. Return the Description of Coverage to us at the Program Administrator’s office or our authorized agent. When so returned, the Description of Coverage is void from the beginning. After this 10-day period, the payment for this coverage is nonrefundable."Aug 09,2019-

100 USD/day; 500 USD max. (secondary)
All Comprehensive plans listed on our website have daily and maximum limitations for Travel Delay. However, you may wish to consider the AIG Travel Guard Gold or Platinum plans, which offer higher Travel Delay limits, for your next trip.
