I have never had to use travel insurance. Four days before leaving on my 3 week trip to Australia/New Zealand, I had to cancel for medical reasons. AXA Assistance sent me the claim forms by the day after I called them to report my trip cancellation. The claim process was very comprehensive, but explained well in the documents they sent. The day after I submitted my claim, I received an email confirming the receipt. One week after submitting my claim, I received confirmation that AXA Assistance would pay my claim in full. I received a check for the full amount of my trip.
I would use them again.
