We had a death in the family a few days before our trip. I contacted RoamRight and was sent a claim form and reassured that we would be covered. We ended up going on our trip as things worked out that way - so I didn't have to file a claim, but I am so happy I bought this insurance. They were nice and helpful during a very stressful time.

Filed a claim for total cost reimbursement on November 30th. Check in hand 2 weeks later! Fantastic customer service from the claims representative. She kept me informed of forms needed and progress of claim. She's a STAR performer in my book!

This is an update to the review where I said I was on the fence about whether I would recommend this product because I was having issues getting a claim reviewed. Within days of my review I was assigned a personal advocate who contacted me by email, and I also received a card in the mail advising me that my claim was being processed. My advocate was able to confirm that all documentation had been received and a timeframe to expect an outcome. I received notification on the outcome within the timeframe advised, and today I received a check for the full amount I was claiming. As a result, I would recommend this product. Thank you.

I'm on the fence here. Buying the insurance is easy, the coverage seems good - I got this one because it didn't exclude scuba diving. The call center was very responsive when I called about a claim (travel related not medical), but I submitted it (by fax) a couple of weeks ago and have heard nothing back. I followed up via email and still nothing. I'll call next week but have to say I'm disappointed that I haven't even had an acknowledgement. At this point I really can't recommend the plan without knowing they'll deliver. I'm about to travel again and am going to choose a different plan.
