Unfortunately my wife developed a severe respiratory problem prior to our trip to Japan. Allianz handled the refund professionally and we received our refund for the trip within 10 days of submission. We have used them many times in the past and this was our first claim. We will continue to use them in the future.

A week before leaving on a 3 week trip to Japan I suffered an accident that required surgery and was obliged to cancel the trip. Everyone I spoke to prior to filing the claim was delightful and helpful. The forms were not difficult to fill out nor was the supporting documentation that is required unreasonable. The claim was promptly acknowledged and processed within the stated timeframe (about 30 days). Payment will be prompt and comprehensive. I am very highly satisfied and would recommend this plan. It is a good value for the cost and allows me to rebook the trip next year.

at our age (82 and 76) traveling on our own in a foreign country, we were completely confident that our health care and emergency medical evacuation were covered without causing immediate financial hardship to us and our families.

April Travel Protection Choice
Did not need to file a claim but the price and coverage was better than all of the other options I looked at. All necessary documents were emailed to me immediately after purchase. It felt good to know we were protected on our honeymoon if anything were to happen.

HTH Worldwide Trip Protector Preferred
As a layperson with no advice or recommendation, I did the best I could to compare plans and prices, and after doing that, I picked this plan from the others. I have no idea whether it really is a good plan because I did not file a claim and have no idea how I would have been treated if I had done so.
