C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Lite
We have used these insurance plans many times and even have 2 more trips coming up covered by INSUREMYTRIP but never filed a claim before. And yet we have been waiting many weeks for a very small claim we filed in January to be paid. When we call, we are told that all of our information has not been received although we have sent everything asked for. If this case is not resolved soon, we will have to resort to Social Media to alert unsuspecting people about the total disregard of clients' claims. No one I have spoken to who has used other insurers has had the problems we have been having. Be assured that we will not let this drop, which is probably what this company is hoping we do. Maybe the Better Business Bureau should be contacted to help us which we will do if this goes on more than another week.

AXA Assistance USA Gold
This is the 3rd time I have used AXA and have been pleased. Twice I did not need to make a claim; once, early before my trip, I had to cancel the trip due to companions changing their minds. Claim was trouble-free and prompt.
I wish they still had the incremental payment system, whereby you pay premiums as you spend money on deposits, airfare/hotel, and then final payments. In order to get my Cancel for Any Reason as well as pre-existing medical conditions, I had to pay the full premium up front - ouch.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
We have aging parents so we wanted the security of insurance. Fortunately, we had nothing to worry about. However, on a previous trip we had bought insuremytrip and we did have a claim. One never knows what might happen so -- better safe than sorry!

Disappointed that my travel delay claim was denied based on what I think is a small technicality in what is deemed a "hazard" - namely, a significant delay at Customs due to government slowdown/budget cuts that caused us to miss our flight. We spent extra funds, and lost valuable time and wages waiting for the next available flight (an extra 2 days). I do realize this was not specifically covered in the "fine print," but it would have been a nice gesture to receive even a partial amount towards the claim. I still think travel insurance is important and will consider TruTravel when booking future trips.
