I do commend the excellent services of Insure My Trip. They recommended the TravelSafe Classic plan to me, and I trust their judgment. This is the 3rd time I purchase travel insurance from Insure My Trip.

I had to claim a doctor visit and medicines. the process took a couple of months, but I was reimbursed for all of my expenses. It was no harder or longer than any insurance claim. I will use them again soon.

I have been a customer for over 10 months, however, whenever we had a question about a policy issues customer service representatives did everything possible to make sure we were not covered. This not good travel insurance. I would recommend you save the money for an emergency fund or splurge for a better insurance company

Atlas Expedition
I am very dissatisfied with Tokio Marine HCC Medical Insurance Atlas Expedition. 4 of us, women, missed a flight from Louisville Ky to Chicago on May 18, because the Chicago Airport was closed due to weather. Over a three hour period, the Chicago airport opened and closed a few times, so by the time we reached it, our flight to Amsterdam was gone. We could not arrive in Amsterdam, and missed our first day and night of the cruise. United Airlines reimbursed us for purchased clothes and dinner, since luggage didn't arrive for 8 DAYS. All we wanted from our insurance was $264 for a day of cruise missed. My other two companions bought Roam Right, and WERE sent a check. Tokio HHC denied the claim. I would AVOID this company. Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry to learn of the unfortunate events that occurred during your trip. Acting as your advocate, InsureMyTrip contacted the claims department to assist you with the claim that went unpaid. The representatives informed us that the claim was adjudicated in accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy.
As you and your travel companions purchased different policies this caused the policies to differ in slightly. Unfortunately, the policy you purchased did not have a Missed Connection benefit where your traveling companions policy offered this. The best way to avoid this situation in the future is for traveling companions to purchase with the same provider. We did not need to file any claims for our travel, but it was good piece of mind due to the possibility of hurricane delays and possible sickness or other calamity in the family. The price was reasonable for the coverage. I would prefer to be able to pick and choose what was covered, as we probably didn't need all of the coverage items.

Years ago when we traveled, we never purchased trip insurance, and we never regretted not doing so. However, as our parents have gotten older, we have purchased trip insurance for the last several trips with them, and by ourselves, just in case something happened and we were not able to go on the trip or needed to come home earlier than planned. Once again, we were happy to not need the insurance! If we had needed it, though, it would have helped limit the financial loss caused by a late trip cancellation or flight changes.

We wanted to make sure we were covered on our 3 week trip. Fortunately, we had a great trip and all went well. We did not need to use this insurance. The web site was easy and all items were covered and easily understood. I would certainly use AIG again or recommend them to others. Broke a tooth eating a "rib" (pork I think) in Germany, but chose to wait until I returned to America to seek treatment as I didn't want to translate to a German dentist as I don't speak German (other than how to order schnitzel and "bier") and naturally it happened on a weekend. When I got home my Internet access was not working and I spent two plus hours talking to a nice lady in the Philippines who, in the end, couldn't help me. Then I went to do errands and my car wouldn't start, because someone in my absence left the trunk door open which drained/killed the battery, which I replaced for give or take $150. But, I digress, none of my woes were covered by your policy and those that would be never arose. Insurance is purchased in the hope you won't need it, but if you do you have it. Sounds like something Yogi Berra (God rest his soul) would say. So, I'm glad I had it. Going to dentist tomorrow. Wish me luck.

I kept thinking what if they lose my luggage but then I would think, don’t worry about it, you’re covered. I also thought about getting hurt, we did a lot of hiking in Germany and driving on some crazy, tiny roads in Italy. Then I would think about the insurance I had and it kept me from worrying.
