I filed a claim after first discussing it with a phone representative who said what part of the policy she thought would cover it. My claim was denied in full saying that I wasn't entitled to reimbursement because the cost of my cruise was refunded but I did not request reimbursement for that!

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
Acknowledgement of receipt of claim was prompt, Additional invoices were required and were sent within hours of receiving the request. But then there was a month delay with no contact. I had to initiate a call and was asked to sent the invoices again. The claim was for trip interruption and payment was for 7 out of 9 days. But initial payment included only 6 days. When I pointed this out, the additional payment was made, but with no explanation or apology for the incorrect initial reimbursement.

Our Customer Advocates can check the status of your claim, and attempt to expedite the claim process. Travel Insured has issued the following statement in reply to this review:

    After reviewing with the Claims Managers, Travel Insured International reported that it appeared the Claims Department had not received the attachments. Once the documents we re-sent, the claim was paid. When the air was discovered, the analyst sent a reply and advised she requested the difference, and the payment was issued right away. We apologize for any confusion and want to assure you that members of our claims department and their management team are always readily available to our customers, and they can be reached at 1-800-243-2440 to discuss a claim filing that has not resulted in a happy or satisfying. We look forward to assisting you in your future travels.

I am pleased to report that none of the contingencies I insured against occurred. All I can say is that your web site was easy to use and informative; the one time I had to contact you I got a human being immediately and got a prompt answer to my question; and your rate was competitive. Next time I probably will self insure against everything except the medical evacuation and coverage, which I believe really is necessary.

When I purchased the insurance, it was more for peace of mind like I did for previous trips. However, when my flight from Buenos Aires delayed seven hours, it put me in a situation of missing my connection. I called the AXA Assistance about the situation and they confirmed my coverage immediately and emailed me the instructions on how to claim. I rebooked my connection flight and got reimbursement from AXA Assistance without any hassle. I definitely will purchase my future travel insurance with the company. Thanks for the good service.
